Have you got a Backup and Disaster Recovery Policy?

30 October 2020

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that the unexpected really can happen.  Who foresaw a pandemic that caused the entire country to be locked down?  While you might not be able to predict these things happening, having a backup and disaster recovery plan is something every business should have.

Also known as a Business Continuity Plan or BCP, the idea of this kind of plan is to protect your business if something serious happens such as a natural disaster.  It will allow you to have a clear process to follow to smoothly get the business operating again and minimise the disruption.

The main aim of a business backup plan is to protect your IT systems from significant disruption or to ensure they can quickly be restored if something does happen.  It also incorporates regular backups of all relevant data and tests to ensure that the recovery plan covers all the data needed as the business grows.

Clyde Solutions offer a way to get such a plan in place for your business that is specific to what you do.  This means if something does happen, you have a personalised plan for the business that uses your own systems, processes and personnel, rather than a simple PDF standard approach that doesn’t have any personalisation at all.

Contact Clyde Solutions to discuss your requirements.
