Do you run your business from a mobile phone?

Many of the traditional models of running your business have changed in recent times.  The growth of high-speed internet connection and the prolific use of cloud computing means that people are no longer limited to an office in the way they once were.  But can you run your business from a mobile phone entirely?

The stats show that many people already are.  Over half of emails are opened on a mobile device and 55% of people use online banking on their smartphone over using a desktop computer or visiting a branch.  This shows people are already used to using their mobile for many tasks – so why not running a business as well?

There are also some solid benefits to this approach.  It makes it easy to stay in touch with your team and your clients no matter where you are.  Apps such as Slack, WhatsApp and Skype can allow easy and instant communication.  You can also easily create and share documents with software such as Evernote or Google Drive.

Taking payment can now be done from mobile with apps such as PayPal making the process simple.  And with accounting apps, you can track mileage, photography receipts to add to expenses and send invoices to your clients.

Social media is largely mobile based and marketing your business via these platforms can easily be done on mobile.  Many marketing tools will also have apps to use mobile, so you can work on your marketing wherever you are.
