WLR3
Through our partners HighNet we now have access to BT Openreach WLR3 !
Following a long industry-wide drive for equivalence, BT was forced to allow communications providers access to the back office systems and processes, so the WLR3 portal was introduced. HighNet was the first provider in Scotland to complete the establishment process, and second overall in the UK.
What does WLR3 do?
The main benefit of WLR3 for Clyde/HighNet is access to the same systems as BT Retail, essentially meaning BT has lost the advantage it once held. We can:
- Pre-qualify orders
- Check the existing line plant availability
- Offer number selection (except ISDN2)
- Reduce lead times due to directly provisioning orders directly onto the Openreach platform, cutting out the middle man
- Access the Openreach engineers’ diaries to directly book, cancel and rebook appointments, and check job notes
This is great news for our clients and prospective clients. Come March 2010 if your line provider doesn’t have access to WLR3 they won’t be able to add or change anything to your services. We are delighted to work with a forward thinking partner like HighNet.
